Perspective
Thoughts on Design
My philosophy about design is very clear; form and function must never compromise for the user. As a designer, I strive to enrich people‘s lives with a minimalist product approach. We live in times when materials, technologies and manufacturing methods can evolve rapidly and bring complex products to the market. That‘s why I believe consumers need honest and easy to understand products. What drives me in design is not only the design of products - even more exciting is the user experience when a mix of different, cross- relating fields come together. As a designer, I think you need to be aware of the importance of how these different disciplines interact and how you can use them to improve the product.
Personal Facts
Since I was a little child, I felt pure joy in sketching and inventing new things. I see myself as a great team player since I used to play handball for 13 years. At the early age of 7, I quickly learned that the team can do more together than any individual. It‘s the same in a design process; when different professional societies come together, a great design emerges. Teamwork, passion and attention to detail are the keys to success. I have always been interested in the interaction of form, function, aesthetics, process, genesis, formal language and the final design. It has always been extremely important to me that the sustainability and appreciation of our finite resources is guaranteed.
AI
As a designer, I've seen AI revolutionize product design, making the unimaginable, possible. AI aids in understanding user needs through data, leading to designs that are both beautiful and functional. It automates mundane tasks, allowing us to focus on creativity and innovation. This results in rapid prototyping and products that better meet user expectations. AI also enables personalization at an unprecedented scale, making products adapt to individual users. AI isn't just a tool; it's a game-changer, pushing us towards a future where designs are more intuitive, personalized, and aligned with human needs. In this era, AI is our ally, transforming the way we create and interact with products.
